Mo is a consultant urologist with interest in pelvic cancer and robotic surgery in North Wales Hospitals since 2020, helping to revive the service for urological pelvic cancer. He started the pathway for cystectomy surgery in the region and operates closely with colorectal and gynaecological oncology teams for complex pelvic cancer cases. Prior to that, he worked as a substantive consultant in the same field at Liverpool University Hospitals after completing travelling scholarship for robotic surgery in the Netherlands.
Mo graduated in 20024 and pursued urology training in European Urology training centre in Turkey then moved to the UK to complete his Specialist Registrar training in the North West of England. His work over the years is published in the literature and has been actively involved in many quality improvements projects, winning the Norman Gibbon Prize in Merseyside in 2018.
Mo also has huge interest and passion for medical education. He is a member of Faculty of Academic and Medical Educators (FACE) in University of Liverpool; SCC tutor for medical students in Bangor University; and he recently completed a university postgraduate degree in Medical Education. He has also been a faculty member for a number of urology courses in the UK and currently holds a number of GMC associate roles outside his NHS commitments.
